MelanoLight-Q™ Laser Toning
A gentle, low-downtime brightening treatment for dark skin tones
MelanoLight-Q™ is a doctor-delivered laser toning treatment created especially for people with medium–deep skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–V) who want a clearer, brighter and more even-looking complexion without downtime.
Using a refined low-fluence 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG technique, MelanoLight-Q™ targets areas of excess pigment gently, without aiming to remove freckles or individual marks. Instead, it helps soften uneven tone, reduce the appearance of dullness, and support a more uniform skin appearance over a series of treatments.
Who is MelanoLight-Q™ suitable for?
MelanoLight-Q™ may be appropriate if you:
-
Have medium to deep skin tones (FP IV–V): typically Asian and light brown skin tones.
-
Experience uneven or patchy tone.
-
Feel your skin looks dull or lacklustre.
-
Prefer mild treatments with minimal downtime.
-
Want gradual, cumulative improvement rather than a strong corrective procedure.
This treatment is not designed for melasma removal, deep pigment lesions, or individual sun spots. In those cases, Dr Brad will advise on more suitable options.
Patients with white or Caucasian skin tones are best served by the QUEST³ laser facial protocol.
How the treatment works
MelanoLight-Q™ uses short, low-energy pulses of 1064 nm light across the whole face. This wavelength is well-tolerated in deeper skin tones when used at gentle energies. The pulses of energy disrupt excess pigment gently and evenly, without harming individual melanocytes and not aiming for a visible clinical endpoint on the day.
A typical session lasts around 10-15 minutes. Most people describe the sensation as light warmth or a quick flicking feeling.
What to expect after treatment
Most people return to normal activities straight away. Mild warmth or faint redness can occur but usually settles quickly. Improvements develop gradually over a course of sessions rather than after a single visit.
Treatment schedule & pricing
Beneficial effects of MelanoLight-Q™ develop gradually and cumulative with best results coming from repeated treatments spaced 10-14 days apart and never if skin is visibly red or inflamed.
Single session:
£245
Course of 3:

During your consultation, Dr Brad will assess your skin, medical history, and suitability for this treatment. Laser treatments are not suitable for everyone; risks and alternatives will always be discussed before proceeding.
Why choose a doctor-led clinic?
Treating medium–deep skin tones safely requires careful parameter selection and an understanding of pigment behaviour. Your treatment is carried out exclusively by a doctor experienced in laser protocols for deeper skin types. You will receive personalised guidance before, during and after your treatment.
