MelanoLight-Q™ Aftercare Guidance

Your MelanoLight-Q™ treatment is designed to be gentle with minimal downtime. Most people return to normal activities straight after their appointment. The guidance below helps your skin settle comfortably and supports a smooth recovery.


Immediately after treatment

  • You may notice mild warmth or a slightly flushed appearance.

  • This usually fades within minutes to a few hours.

  • Makeup can generally be applied the following day unless your skin feels sensitive.


For the first 48 hours

  • Avoid hot showers, steam rooms and saunas

  • Avoid vigorous exercise

  • Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, AHA/BHA products or strong active skincare

  • Use a simple moisturiser morning and evening

  • If your skin feels warm, you may gently cool it with a clean cold compress


Sun protection

Laser treatments can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. For at least two weeks:

  • Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily

  • Reapply if you are outdoors for prolonged periods

  • Avoid deliberate tanning and sunbeds

Good photoprotection is essential for maintaining an even skin tone.


Expected changes

  • Skin may look clearer and brighter gradually over several sessions

  • Some people notice transient darkening of areas of pigmentation before they settle

  • Improvements are cumulative rather than immediate

  • Unexpected blistering

  • Increasing redness that does not settle

  • Signs of infection

  • Any concerns about sensitivity or pigmentation changes
