The Dark Circles Diagnostic Hub

Under-eye darkness is not a single condition. It is driven by three distinct biological mechanisms: Anatomical Hollows, Melanin Hyperpigmentation, or Sluggish Venous Blood. Discover your precise classification below to select the targeted medical protocol required to clear it permanently.

Your £60 consultation deposit is credited 100% toward any treatment or course commenced on the day.

Step 1: Identify Your Primary Cause

Tired eyes cannot be solved with generic creams. Use the clinical self-check tests below to identify your predominant presentation and explore dedicated treatments:

Classification 01

Structural Hollows

Anatomical Bone Loss & Fat Pad Descent

Physical depressions along the tear trough or orbital margin that catch overhead light and cast deep shadows. Driven by genetic orbital shape, aging bone resorption, or deep fat deflation.

Self-Check Test: Shine a torch horizontally across your cheekbone. If the dark shadow disappears when illuminated from the side, your darkness is structural volume loss.
Classification 02

Melanin Pigment

Superficial & Dermal Hyperpigmentation

True brown, cafe-au-lait, or mottled discolouration situated inside the skin itself. Common in Mediterranean or Asian skin types, chronic eyelid rubbing, eczema, or sun exposure.

Self-Check Test: Gently pull the eyelid skin sideways. If the brown pigment stretches with the skin and remains visibly brown, it is true melanin deposition.
Classification 03 (70%+ of Cases)

Venous Stasis

Sluggish Blood, Hypoxia & Thin Skin

Deoxygenated, dark purplish-blue blood pooled in stagnant capillary loops showing straight through paper-thin (0.5mm) eyelid skin. Often accompanied by morning puffiness.

Self-Check Test: Gently press your lower eyelid with a clean fingertip for 2 seconds. If the skin momentarily blanches pale before darkening again, your darkness is vascular.
Have Multiple Causes?

The Multi-Vector Synergy Suites

Over 60% of patients with severe, chronic dark circles suffer from a combination of brown melanin pigment, trapped purplish venous pooling, and paper-thin skin. Single-modality treatments leave the other half untreated. Our interleaved 8-week dual and triple-action suites resolve all underlying pathologies concurrently.

Dual-Engine Vascular & Melanin

OcuChroma Duo™

4x Medical CO₂ Infusion + 4x DEKA QS4 Laser Toning (8 Weeks)

£2,895 (inc. VAT)

An alternating weekly protocol for mixed dark circles. While the DEKA QS4 laser shatters stubborn dermal melanin under corneal shields, interleaved medical CO₂ flushes trapped deoxygenated blood and supercharges macrophage clearance of the shattered pigment via the Bohr effect.

  • 8 weekly appointments (30–35 mins each)
  • Alternating weekly cadence (zero tissue overload)
  • Internal Cox II stainless steel ocular protection
  • Saves £665 compared to individual PAYG visits

The Complete Eye Rebuild
Triple-Action Gold Standard

OcuChroma Matrix Duo™

3x CO₂ + 3x DEKA QS4 Laser + 2x Nucleofill Polynucleotides (8 Weeks)

£3,295 (inc. VAT)

Our premier non-surgical periorbital suite for severe, complex presentations. Laser pulverizes melanin, carboxytherapy clears venous congestion and speeds pigment drainage, and polynucleotides physically thicken translucent eyelid skin so underlying structures never show through.

  • 8 weekly appointments (30–35 mins each)
  • Complete triad: Pigment + Microvascular + Extracellular Matrix
  • Suppresses melanocyte hyperactivity via purinergic signaling
  • The definitive non-surgical blepharoplasty alternative
