Scar Subcision

There are many different causes of scarring including acne, chicken pox, molluscum and trauma.

Many scars, especially those which are “stuck down” or “depressed” can benefit from “subcision”.

This is performed by numbing the area with injections of local anaesthetic before introducing a special kind of bladed needle directly underneath the scar to release the tethered skin tissue from underlying tissues.

This treatment usually only needs to be done once but can be repeated if necessary and can be used before or alongside other treatments, such as laser, fillers, dermaroller or biological injections for enhanced results.

Treatment is available from £300.
