Facial Vascular Presentations Cleared

Facial capillaries sit superficial in the dermis and respond with immediate intravascular thrombosis when targeted by precise long-pulsed Nd:YAG wavelengths, clearing rapidly without damaging surrounding skin tissue.

Nose & Mid-Face

Nasal Crease & Bridge Capillaries

Prominent red or purple linear vessels branching around the nasal alar creases, nostrils, and bridge. Often exacerbated by weather, allergies, or chronic congestion. The laser traces the vessel path, sealing it instantly with minimal surface marking.

Typical Outcome: 80%–95% clearance in 1 to 2 sessions.
Bilateral Cheeks & Chin

Cheek Telangiectasias & Matting

Fine branching networks across the cheekbones, malar region, and chin. These distinct spider vessels often coexist with background rosacea flushing. Targeted laser pulses shut down the feeding micro-vessels, restoring a uniform, calm complexion.

Typical Outcome: 1 to 2 sessions; mild post-laser pinkness.
Full-Face Sweep

Extensive Multi-Zone Vessels

Combined distribution across the nose, medial cheeks, chin, and lower forehead. Dr Brad performs a systematic vascular pass to address both prominent individual feeder vessels and finer collateral capillary networks across the entire canvas.

Typical Outcome: 2 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

Medical Laser Precision vs. High-Street IPL

Understanding the difference between high-powered coherent medical laser wavelengths and broad-spectrum salon light devices.

⚡ Medical Long-Pulsed Nd:YAG 1064nm

  • Monochromatic Wavelength: Single 1064nm wavelength targets intravascular oxyhaemoglobin without competing heavily with epidermal melanin.
  • Depth & Penetration: Reaches deeper, higher-pressure feeder vessels (up to 3mm) that cause recurrent surface redness.
  • Immediate Thrombosis: Traces specific, individual vessels with microscopic spot sizes, collapsing them instantly before your eyes.
  • Doctor Calibrated: Exact fluence and millisecond pulse widths adjusted for your unique Fitzpatrick phototype.

💡 High-Street Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

  • Broad Spectrum: Emits scattered non-collimated light (500–1200nm), absorbed superficially in the upper skin layers.
  • Superficial Reach: Weak penetration that often fails to coagulate deeper nasal alar or feeding cheek vessels.
  • High Session Volume: Frequently sold as courses of 5 to 8 sessions with partial or temporary vessel fading.
  • Operator Dependent: Commonly administered by non-medical clinic staff using fixed factory presets.

Facial Thread Vein Fee Schedule

What to Expect After Facial Laser:
Treated facial capillaries typically blanch instantly or turn a mild greyish-purple. Mild local erythema (redness) and minor cat-scratch style puffiness are normal and generally subside over 24 to 48 hours. Most patients resume normal social activities the next day. Mineral makeup can be applied gently after 24 hours. Daily SPF 50 is essential to protect newly clearing skin from solar-induced vasodilation.
