Frecklex-Q Aftercare Guide
Thank you for choosing Frecklex-Q. This guide explains what to expect after your treatment and how to care for your skin to ensure the best possible results.
What to Expect
It is normal to experience some temporary changes after Frecklex-Q:
-
Darkening of the freckles/sun spots within the first 24–72 hours
-
Mild redness or warmth in the treated areas
-
Fine micro-crusting as the treated pigment lifts and flakes away over 5–14 days
-
Occasionally, mild swelling in sensitive areas
These are signs that the treatment is working.
Results continue to improve over several weeks.
Immediate Care (First 24 Hours)
-
Keep the skin cool and clean.
-
Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser if the skin feels dry or tight.
-
Avoid makeup, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or exercise that causes facial flushing.
-
Do not apply active skincare products (retinoids, vitamin C, AHAs/BHAs, exfoliants).
Day 1–7: Pigment Darkening & Natural Shedding
-
The treated freckles will turn darker and may look peppery—this is expected.
-
Small crusts will form and shed naturally.
-
Do not pick, scratch, or rub the treated areas, as this may cause marks or delay healing.
-
Continue using a gentle cleanser and moisturiser only.
Makeup can be used once the skin feels comfortable, usually after 24–48 hours.
Sun Protection Is Essential
Frecklex-Q makes the skin temporarily more sensitive to sunlight.
To prevent unwanted pigmentation, please:
-
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50 every day for at least 8–12 weeks
-
Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors
-
Avoid sunbeds and intentional tanning
-
Wear hats and physical shade protection whenever possible
Consistent sun protection is the key to long-lasting results.
Activities to Avoid
For one week after treatment, avoid:
-
Hot yoga, heavy exercise, or anything that overheats the skin
-
Saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs
-
Active or exfoliating skincare
-
Facial waxing or hair removal treatments on the treated area
If your skin feels sensitive, extend this avoidance period until it settles.
